I am a group fitness instructor, wife, mother, food lover, ex yo-yo dieter and most importantly a believer that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
I was born and raised in South Africa, lived in London for 8 years, Tucson, Arizona for 2 and Brisbane, Australia for 6. I have met many different people from many cultures and walks of life and along the way I have discovered that people want the same fundamental things out of their life but often don’t know how to get there. I have struggled most of my life with body image and weight issues, so I understand what it's like to feel fat and ashamed and the good news is that I have a learnt a better way that I want to share with you!
I have always enjoyed exercise - predominantly doing aerobics classes in a gym through most of my adult life. Then, in 2010 while living in Arizona I participated in a boot camp, which was a completely different and enriching experience. More than just keeping me fit (and I became fitter than I’d ever been in my entire life) my physical achievements improved my self-confidence and as part of a team of like-minded individuals who inspired and encouraged and supported me, my entire outlook on life improved.
On returning to Brisbane, it has been my mission to pay that forward and to help and inspire others to improve their diet, fitness and life in general. Hence, while playing full time mother, wife and housekeeper, I studied and trained and proudly present to you: Firebloom Fitness!
